What is on every page
A skip link at the top moves focus to the main content. The menu on a phone is a single Menu control. Open it and the links sit in one column, each tall enough to tap. On a wider screen the same links sit in a row and the Menu word is hidden. Focus is shown with a dark ring.
Pictures have text alternatives. Form fields have visible labels. Buttons name the next step in two to four words. The rose used for buttons is paired with white type. Body text is ink on white, at 18 pixels, with room between lines. Nothing on the page depends on color alone.
